The faces behind It’s The Mother…
FOUNDER // Megan
As well as running the show here with Lucy, mum of two (Abel & Freida) Megan owns her own business Porter & Bramble. Megan has a passion for all things economical and often shares her experiences of parenting alone as her partner William works at sea. A pro at multitasking to say the least.
CO FOUNDER // Lucy
Mother to Nora, Lucy juggles working part time with a busy family life. You will find her writing about fashion, mental health and general lifestyle topics with her own witty style flung in.
CONTRIBUTOR // Katie
Overly honest, hopelessly clumsy mum of two boys (Harrison & Ruairidh) with a slight obsession with gin, shoes and beauty products who happens to be a bit of a hair/style chameleon. You won’t find her doing flatlays and super coordinated photos but her posts will always be relatable and real.
CONTRIBUTOR // Deana
CONTRIBUTOR // Sophie
Living in Paris with a passion for small living and simple parenting, Sophie has two sons (Fred & Arthur) and works part time as a cook in a local organic café. Sophie is all about “finding our village as mothers” especially as she lives away from family.
CONTRIBUTOR // Ellen
Mum to Drew, married to her best bud and living in Aberdeen, Ellen has gone from career driven lawyer to full time mum and never been happier. She wants to challenge some of the contradictory societal perceptions and pressures that full time Mums (and Dads) face…whilst being honest about the highs, lows and anxieties along the way!
CONTRIBUTOR // Kirsten
Mother of two (Sylvie & Ada), wife, communications professional, make up artist, blogger, home doer uper… impressive list wouldn’t you agree? Kirsten loves to document her home renovations, make up and beauty tips, parenthood truths and what she gets up to with the kids.
CONTRIBUTOR // Rebecca-Louise
21 years old and living in Central Scotland with her partner renovating their first home together. Rebecca-Louise deals with anxiety on a daily basis and wants to share her story with the world to help break the stigma. She enjoys writing about mindfulness, beauty and tips on how she deals with mental illness.
CONTRIBUTOR // Mia
Married to Sandy with two daughters (Tegan & Frida), Mia runs her own business Piccadilly Lilly in the seaside village of Elie selling clothing, accessories, skincare and handmade furniture that her husband makes. Previous to this she worked as a Health Improvement Specialist and also has a Bsc hons in Herbal Medicine. She is very passionate about both but also believes life is hard enough without putting on extra unnecessary pressure (a little bit of what you like did nobody any harm).
