Little Chomps smock review
Mess. One of the many things every parent must to learn to live with. If you are anything like me (a clean freak) you will have found this especially difficult to get used to. I must say I very quickly got used to the mess especially at meal times and I find it rather amusing how mucky he can get! With this in mind I am constantly on the hunt for anything that is going to make life easier especially at meal times.
Last week I received a Messy Mealtime Smock by Little Chomps to try out. Little Chomps was set up by Australian mum of 2 Bree after she, like so many of us, got fed up of trying to wash stains out of clothes and hunting for an affordable all over smock to cover those lovely outfits.
So over the last week I have tried out the smock at meal times, messy times and play times and I must say I am very impressed with this product!
The smock is waterproof, wipeable and machine washable. It comes in red, pink or blue and the size fits 6 months – 2 years which is handy. The buttons on the back are a plus as well, velcro can go a bit weird after a few washes…
A few points I especially like…
- You can wipe it clean so no need to wash it a lot.
- It looks good, some of these all over smocks can look so uncomfortable and unsightly!
- It is affordable and as it won’t be in the wash much you will get a lot of use out of it.
- It is soft, breathable and easy for little ones to wear which was especially good for playing in if mess was involved.
- It is BPA and PVC-free.
The only downside I can possibly think of with this product is that it can’t go in the tumble dryer but to be fair most good quality smocks have this warning and it would ruin it possibly, I’m just not fan of hang drying!
Overall I would highly recommend this to any parent especially those going down the baby led weaning route. It even comes in a little zip lock bag you can keep it in for travelling, such a nice touch.
