A few weeks ago I visited Tamara Studios with Abel to get some fun photos of the two of us…

I was a bit nervous because A. getting my picture taken makes me anxious (eek!) and B. the studio we visited for Abel’s newborn pictures wasn’t a great experience. I can safely say I had absolutely nothing to worry about because we had the BEST time!

Nadine who took these AMAZING pictures quickly made us feel at home and I think that definitely shows. I met Nadine through our Edinburgh meet ups and she is honestly such an amazing woman and mama to little Tamara (who Abel had a lot of fun playing with whilst at the studio!).  Abel was a bit shy at first but once we got his toys out and Nadine got him running around and looking for Thomas the Tank in the camera he was loving it. I was a bit worried about how he would be as trying to get a picture of him at home is a mission (sure most of you will relate!). I think Nadine’s style really lends itself to photographing kids, not once were we asked to pose, we were just being ourselves with a little creative direction of course!

The studio itself is lovely, you wouldn’t think they had only been there 9/10 months! So child friendly with a little ball pit, changing station and toys, it even has a little make up/dressing room! It’s also located right next to the water in Leith so each time we have been we have made a day of it!

As I previously mentioned other studios we have dealt with haven’t given us the best experience, not so much in the studio but afterwards I always felt pressured into buying or not told prices til you come to see all the amazing pictures and you just want to get them all. That was one of the things I loved about how Nadine does things, she has some great offers and works with you and your budget. Also letting you know what packages she offers from your first visit so you know when you do go back to see all the beautiful pictures and have an idea of what you want.

I won’t ramble on anymore, I think the pictures speak for themselves and show how amazing Nadine is at her job. I was SOOO nervous but I love these pictures. When we did go to view them a few weeks later I felt so emotional watching the slideshow and couldn’t believe how great I looked (big head over here LOL) because it wasn’t posey and forced! If you want to see more of her work or check out the full range of services/offers please check out her social media and website…
